My journey in British Sign Language started in 2002, and through my journey of becoming a qualified RSLI, I qualified as a CSW, achieved Deaf Blind Manual Level 3, C & G Teaching Cert. 7407 and qualified as Electronic & Manual Note-taker.
I have interpreted in various settings i.e., Social Services, Charities, Education, Health, and Religion, team meetings, supervisions, and Community, supporting also with sight translation, telephone interpreting, and DeafBlind Manual. I am also developing my skills in Mental Health and Legal domain.
My proudest contribution was when two pieces of my research articles were published in Newsli magazine; whereby, one the articles covered Kenyan Sign Language interpreters; (April 2010 edition), the other considered the need for increased Deaf and Blind Education in India (January 2012 edition).
