About me

Hi, everyone! I'm Rani

I initially worked in the pensions industry for several years, but never felt satisfied with my career. I always wanted to learn to sign, so I enrolled on BSL Level 1 at Sussex University in 2012. I fell in love with the language and the d/Deaf community and I have never looked back!

I started my 3-year Bruce and Delfosse iBSL Level 6 Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting Studies course in September 2019, and I qualified as a TSLI (Trainee Sign Language Interpreter) in May 2020. I am registered with NRCPD and ASLI and I have a recent DBS certificate and relevant professional insurance.

I am passionate about BSL and the d/Deaf community; I regularly undertake voluntary work within the community and attend events.
