Full members can access professional mentoring from approved mentors.

 

There is currently no mentoring qualification specifically for sign language interpreters, although many of our mentors have a relevant qualification or experience, e.g. A1 assessor, interpreter trainer etc.

 

Professional mentoring may be useful if you are looking for a more structured and tailored pathway to developing your skills and experience in a particular area, e.g. specialising in a particular domain. This can be done in parallel with shadowing.
