Shadowing
The informal and voluntary buddy and shadowing scheme is open to all full members and is designed to match trainee, newly qualified or less experienced interpreters with a more experienced interpreter in a particular domain or skill area in order to support the new interpreter with entering that domain or developing that skill.

Developing expertise
This may involve shadowing in order to develop expertise in a specialist domain, e.g. legal, mental health, performance or Islamic settings.
Building confidence

This may be with the aim of developing the confidence to take on high profile bookings (e.g. live stream, TV and media), to interpret on camera or in front of peers. It may also involve building confidence in co-working situations.
Learning new skills
You may want to add additional skills, e.g. assessing and interpreter training, international sign etc.
